Colored Concrete - Tulsa, Oklahoma
Colored concrete can be achieved in a variety of ways and is up to the individual homeowner as to which look/method they prefer. Concrete can be colored using a stain, highlight, or integrally mixing in the color.
Acid stained concrete is a way to chemically change the color of the concrete and can create a vast range of colors from light to dark. As a permanent part of the colored concrete, acid stain will not fade, peel, delaminate, or chip independently of the concrete. A variegated look can also be achieved with the use of Eco-stain which is a stain that does not rely on a chemical reaction to occur.
Another form of colored concrete is with a stamped concrete or stamp overlay application. These methods color the concrete, but also have additional accenting or highlight colors to mimic the appearance of a natural stone, brick, or tile. Integrally mixing the color throughout the concrete is another option for creating colored concrete.
